The Gateway to Industry Schools Program is a key industry-school engagement strategy of Skills Queensland. The Program aims to ensure young people make a successful transition from school to work or further education, and are engaged in education and training for the long term. Through the establishment of meaningful partnerships between school and industry students are provided with access to industry focussed curriculum, work experience opportunities, school based apprenticeships and traineeships, up to date industry career information, structured workplace learning opportunities and much more. By participating in the Program, industries can ensure their future workforce needs are met by championing support for young people to make informed career choices.
